Client reporting platform
Private reports for every client, cheap to run
The client runs a platform for online stores, a bit like Shopify. We designed and built the system that gives each store owner reports on their own data.

The results
1 per client
Its own setup and database. No shared data.
0 new logins
Store owners use the login they already have
Daily
Reports updated every day, without reloading everything
Pay per use
Apps switch off when nobody is using them
What the client needed
Good reports, with three firm rules
Keep each client private
Every client gets its own setup and its own database. One client's data can never reach another.
Leave the main database alone
Their main database is large and busy. Reports must not add to its load.
Fast for clients, cheap to run
Even with a separate setup for every client, costs had to stay low.
What we did
A reporting system built to repeat
1. Day one
Load
A new client starts with all past data, summed up and ready for reports.
2. Every day
Refresh
A daily job adds only what changed. No full reloads.
3. For each client
Show
Store owners sign in with the login they already use, and see only their own data.
4. Next client
Repeat
A new client, or a test copy, is a settings change, not a new build.
New report types fit in the same way.
Built to last
Why it stays fast and cheap
Pay only when it runs
The data jobs cost money only while they run. No servers sit waiting.
Switch off when idle
The report site turns itself off when nobody uses it, and back on when they do.
Ready-made totals
Reports read totals worked out in advance. That makes them faster, and keeps the main database quiet.
